Here are some of the YouTube channels I follow and recommend as useful sources of sustainability- and net zero-related information:
Just Have a Think
https://www.youtube.com/c/JustHaveaThink
A channel run by British YouTuber Dave Borlace, who meticulously researches and presents a wide range of climate-related topics including latest scientific findings, green technologies and more. Each video comes packed full of detailed information with a list of links in the notes and a full transcript on the accompanying website. The channel is run with the support of Patreon members and has no sponsors or adverts.
DW Planet A
https://www.youtube.com/c/DWPlanetA
The (mostly) English-language channel on environmental issues and climate change run by German state-owned broadcaster Deutsche Welle. Some interviews are in German so I watch with subtitles turned on. The videos are short and very accessible and cover a wide range of topics.
Fully Charged Show/ Everything Electric Show
https://www.youtube.com/c/fullychargedshow https://www.youtube.com/@EverythingElectricShow
The Fully Charged Show was started by British actor Robert Llewellyn in 2010 and now boasts over a million subscribers. It is primarily a channel about electric cars, but is also a good source of information on clean home energy. The channel has a team of presenters working across the world (with a very good coverage of the thriving Chinese EV market) and new videos are uploaded frequently. Its sister channel Everything Electric Show (formerly Fully Charged Plus) is home to “Almost Breaking News” episodes as well as interviews with a range of experts and industry people, which are also available in the form of podcasts.
Undecided with Matt Ferrell
https://www.youtube.com/c/UndecidedMF
Matt Ferrell is an American YouTuber who explores how sustainable and smart technologies impact our lives on his channel. The sponsor adverts are a bit annoying, but the content is well researched and presented in an accessible, light-hearted style.
