Sustainability translation talk at J-Net summer workshop
When I took part in Carbon Literacy training with Anne-Marie Soulsby (The Sustainable Life Coach) in September 2023, I needed to pledge two actions: one as an individual; and the other as part of a group. For the group action, I settled for fellow translators in my networks: to give a talk on Carbon Literacy at CPD events for Japanese/English translators, which happened in Jul, at ITI’s J-Net summer workshop in London.
ITI LRG Transcreation Workshop
The University of Westminster is on Regent Street, just a stone’s throw from the BBC Broadcasting House to the north and Oxford Circus tube station to the south, where a throng of people exit to the point at which this famous high street meets another magnet for shoppers, Oxford Street. It was a November evening, at the start of the Christmas shopping season, and the area was heaving.
